UK Sizes.

Please note that these are mattress sizes. The beds themselves will typically be a little larger and require more floor space.

2ft6 Small Single

75cm x 190cm     /     2'6" x 6'3"

Typically found where space is at a real premium, the small single size mattress is slim enough to fit into very tight spaces and still gives a sensible sleeping surface for one.

3ft Single

90cm x 190cm     /     3' x 6'3"

This is the UK single mattress size, and the size people mean when they talk about a standard single mattress.

4ft Small double

120cm x 190cm     /     4' x 6'3"

Narrower than a standard double, so-called 'Small Double' mattresses are ideal for occasional use (such as for guest bedrooms) - this provides just enough room for two.

4ft6 Double

135cm x 190cm     /     4'6 x 6'3"

This is the UK double mattress size

5ft King

150cm x 200cm     /     5' x 6'6"

King size mattresses are wider and longer than standard double mattresses - and although they are only 6 inches wider, this can make a huge difference to how much space you have when sharing a bed.

6ft Superking

180cm x 200cm     /     6' x 6'6"

Superking mattresses are a whole foot wider than king size - and they provide a wonderfully large sleeping surface. Not everyone can fit a bed of this size into their bedroom - but if you can, it is worth it!
